Two Accidents Along I-20 Near Big Spring Leave Behind a Big Mess

BIG SPRING - Multiple accidents along Interstate 20 near Big Spring caused a traffic backup on Friday afternoon.

The first accident involved just an 18-wheeler. The big rig somehow left the roadway, crashed through a guardrail and crashed into a concrete culvert around 5:15p.m..

The driver, Egnacio Guerrero, Sr., of Odessa, was airlifted to the hospital. Officials told KBYG that his injuries weren't thought to be life-threatening.

The second accident involved three vehicles, including a big rig. According to KBYG, the exact details of the accident weren't available but the 18-wheeler also left the highway and landed on it's side in a concrete drainage culvert.

Officials on the scene did report to KBYG that no injuries were reported in that accident.
