The man accused of throwing a disabled woman out a car in Midland has been nabbed in El Paso.

Police caught up with William Rhynes in a stolen car on Friday. How he was caught is still unclear.

Rhynes is also a convicted sex offender from Florida and Mississippi.

Police say Rhynes got into an argument with a wheelchair bound woman in a car in the Kent-Kwik parking lot on Front Street on Thursday.

They say he tossed all her stuff out of the car including her wheelchair. He then drove about 100 feet before throwing her out.

Police say Rhynes is charged with assaulting a disabled person.

Police also want to question Rhynes about a scam.

Investigators say Rhynes has been working as a tree trimmer in Midland and has been scamming home owners.

We're told he would get the money up front then not do the work.

Rhynes remains behind bars in El Paso.
