The Big Spring man, accused of having carrying a rape kit and cruising by churches to watch kids play, will not go to trial this week.

49-year-old Jose Guerra's trial has been delayed until March 7th.

He was arrested back in April near a Midland Church where police believe he was trying to abduct a child.

Guerra is facing felony charges of possession of a criminal instrument with the intent to commit aggravated kidnapping.

He's also facing felony aggravated sexual assault charges.

According to police, Guerra was carrying items in his car that would have been used to rape a child including condoms, duct tape and plastic ties.
