The fatal shooting in Arizona over the weekend has rocked the nation.
Politicians across the country say this all hits to close to home including Representative Randy Neugebauer.
The shooting that killed six people and critically injured Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford.
On Monday, Representative Neugebauer spoke out about the fatal shooting and he tells NewsWest 9 that the weekend's events won't stop him from meeting with his own constituents.
He also says security at events are not only for the politicians safety but for also for the safety of the people.
"This is not necessarily all about my safety. I'm also concerned about the safety of the people that attend these events and so if we have security at these events it's not necessarily about me, it's about the general protection of everybody and we'll continue to do that as we see that it's necessary," Neugebauer said.
22-year-old Jared Loughner is the man behind that deadly shooting.
He's been charged with murder and attempted assassination.
