BIG SPRING - Big Spring Police are trying to catch up with two men who went on a small crime spree.

The duo ripped off a cab driver and hit up a convenience store.

The first call came in just before 1:30 Friday morning when a taxi driver called police and said he'd been robbed at gunpoint by the suspects.

He said he was dropping the two men off along Tucson when one of the men pulled a pistol and demanded money.

The cab driver handed over the cash and the men took off on foot.

Two and a half hours later, police think one of the same guys hit the 7-11 in the 1200 block of 11th Place.

There the suspect pulled a gun on the clerk, took the money and ran.
