MIDLAND COUNTY - A four car-pile-up sends two people to the hospital.

Officers were called out to Highway 80 and South County Road 1290, around 6 p.m., which is near the NewsWest 9 studios.

According to the Texas Highway Patrol, a man driving down Highway 80 didn't see the stoplight turn red and slammed into the car in front of him, which caused a chain reaction wreck.

The man told officers the sun was in his eyes and he couldn't see.

He'll be issued a ticket for failing to control his speed.

Both the man and a passenger in another car were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
