MIDLAND - He's accused of trying to rob two people in less than 30 minutes.

Now a Midland man is facing charges of aggravated robbery.

Police arrested 41-year-old Billy Tomlee Turner.

The first attempted robbery happened about 6:50 Wednesday night in a parking garage on west Illinois.

That's where police say Turner, holding a gun wrapped in the sleeve of a hoodie, demanded money from a man.

When the victim showed Turner that he didn't have any money, Turner walked away.

A short time later, another robbery was reported four blocks away. Police say Turner jumped a woman as she was walking through an alley.

He grabbed her purse, violently threw the woman to the ground and took off running.

Police found Turner down the street, hiding in a maintenance shack.

He now faces two charges of aggravated burglary.

Turner is behind bars at the Midland County Jail.
