Midland Man Arrested for Assaulting Police Officer

MIDLAND - A Midland man is in trouble for assaulting a police officer.

Police arrested 48-year-old Robert Perry.

Police were called out for a disturbance at a home in the 4500 block of Pasadena on Monday night.

Officers say Perry verbally threatened them and began pulling away and physically fighting back.

Police used pepper spray on the man.

After Perry was handcuffed, officers say he started kicking as he was being placed in the patrol car.

He kicked one of the officers in the groin.

Perry is charged with resisting arrest and assault of a public servant.

His bond is set at $30,000.
