Arrest Made in Connection with Church Fire in Crane

CRANE – Authorities in Crane have made an arrest in connection with an abandoned Church fire in Crane.

Crane Police Chief JD Smith tells NewsWest 9, the arrest happened on Tuesday night.

Police have not yet released the man's name but they believe he was involved in the fire.

The fire started just after four in the 300 block of Vivian.

Fire officials from Crane, Rankin, McCamey and Odessa all helped to put it out.

No one was hurt.

Chief Smith tells NewsWest 9 in the last few weeks, a gym, a trailer and a green house all went up in flames.

Police are still investigating and could not tell NewsWest 9 if the suspect has been linked to those fires.
