High Profile Break-in Case Over in Odessa

ODESSA - A high profile break-in and beating case in Odessa is now over. The four people involved, including a prominent attorney and former Bowie coach, have been sentenced to probation.

The group busted into an Odessa home last year and attacked the people inside. Attorney Brian Chavez was given five years probation, a $10,000 fine, and more than 300 hours of community service for the burglary.

His half brother, Jacob Chavez, was given five years of probation as well. Stan Wilkins, a former Bowie Junior High Coach got two years of probation for Assault with Bodily Injury and a $1,000 fine. He now works for the ECISD's virtual high school.
