HOBBS, N.M. - Hobbs Police are battling a large number of drunk drivers on their roads.

It's so bad, they're making three or four arrests a night.

Hobbs Police tell NewsWest 9, they've made more than 230 arrests this year.

This past weekend, they busted five people for DWI and three more on Monday.

Officers are cracking down by sending out extra patrols specifically looking for drunk drivers.

They encourage anyone who thinks they see a drunk driver out on the road to call them.
