MIDLAND/ECTOR COUNTY - It's been 79 days and we haven't seen a drop of rain.
Because of the super dry conditions outside, Midland and Ector Counties, both decided to call for a burn ban.
Both County Commissioner Courts made that decision on Monday morning.
It's good for the next 90 days.
All of the vegetation that sprouted during the summer rains has died off and is now the perfect fuel for grassfires.
The burn bans in Ector and Midland Counties includes all burning, which means you can't burn your trash.
The only exception is for professional welders.
