Man Killed After Car Crashes into Odessa Home

ODESSA - New details have been released after a car crashed into an Odessa home on Saturday night.

The accident, which happened at the intersection of Boulder and Englewood on Saturday night, has taken the life of one man.

NewsWest 9 has learned that 72-year-old James Paysinger was killed after police say 18-year-old Frederick Gardea Gonzalez crashed into their home.

Paysinger's wife, who was also injured, remains in the hospital where's she being treated.

According to reports, Gonzalez was traveling south on Englewood at a high speed when he veered off the road, crossed a field, and went air born before crashing into the Paysinger home and stopping in the backyard.

Gonzalez has been booked at the Ector County Detention Center.

His bond has been set at $100,000.

Gonzalez has been charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
