No criminal charges will be filed against a Nimitz Junior High Teacher after an allegation of sexting with a student.
Back on November 18, ECISD received the allegation of an improper relationship between the teacher and a student.
The teacher, Elizabeth Velasco, was placed on paid administrative leave that day as police began their investigation.
ECISD Officials tell NewsWest 9, the investigation did reveal texts between Velasco and the student but there was nothing to confirm rumors of sexting. Police also didn't find any evidence of a sexual relationship.
No criminal charges will be filed against Velasco but ECISD administrators felt that Velasco violated the Texas Educator's Code of Ethics.
Velasco resigned on Wednesday.
Her resignation will be effective on February 1, 2011.
