ODESSA - A new school to help Odessa students prepare to enter the work force is in the works.
The School Board is looking at a new program called the New Tech High School.
It's used in about 62 schools nationwide.
There are seven of them in Texas alone.
The school is aimed at prepping kids for careers after school through technology-centered learning.
Students would have to apply to the school and would be accepted by lottery.
On Thursday, a meeting was held to discuss the concept.
No action has been taken.
We're told the school board may vote on it at their January meeting.
If it all pans out, the hope is to have this school by next August.
