Two Armed Robbers Admit to Robbing Convenience Store in Hobbs

HOBBS, N.M. - They cracked under questioning.

Two armed robbers confessed to ripping off a convenience store in Hobbs not long after they were caught.

Police arrested 19-year-old Shelby Reeves, Jr. and 17-year-old Xavier Silver.

Police tell NewsWest 9, they robbed an Allsups at gunpoint on north Dal Paso Street around 1:30 Wednesday morning.

Officers were able to track them down at a nearby apartment complex after getting a description of their getaway car.

We're told the two they also confessed during questioning and then admitted robbing another Allsups back in November.

Both face several charges including robbery.

Reeves' bond has been set at $63,000, Silver is being held without bond.
