BIG SPRING - Term limits for Big Spring city leaders is a step closer to hitting the polls.

A committee appointed by the City Council to review the city's charter gave the thumbs up for the city to take on the issue.

If the council approves it, Big Spring voters will decide whether or not to vote for term limits in May.

If they don't give it the go-ahead, the Concerned Citizens Council plans to make it happen.

They're circulating petitions to put it on the May ballot.
