Big Spring Man Accused of Abusing a Toddler

BIG SPRING - A Big Spring man remains behind bars after being accused of abusing a toddler.

20-year-old Joseph Contreras was arrested Friday and charged with injury to a child.

He's accused of breaking a two-year-old's leg and bruising up his face.

The boy was taken to Scenic Mountain Medical Center by his mother, who claims she found her son injured, after leaving him alone with her boyfriend.

Contreras was arrested at a relatives home.
His bond has been set at $200,000.
