LEA COUNTY, N.M. - The Lea County Airport is set to get a bit of a facelift right before Continental starts offering direct flights to Houston.
The Southeastern New Mexico airport manager says they'll update perimeter fencing, striping and signs on runways.
Plus the area surrounding the airport will undergo a wildlife threat assessment.
Airport officials also say they'll be able to better hold TSA equipment, like metal detectors.
The direct flights between Hobbs and Houston will launch this March.
