A Seagraves man has been slapped with a life sentence for beating his girlfriend with a bat.
50-year-old Paul Torres was arrested back in March.
The Gaines County Sheriff tells NewsWest 9, Torres got jealous and brutally attacked the 41-year old victim with a baseball bat and broke both of her legs.
Then he put her in the bed, took her phones and left her there until Torres' sister found her the next day and took her to the hospital.
