Man Pleads Guilty to Mail Fraud Charges, Sentenced to Probation

One of four men facing federal charges for allegedly bilking an Odessa business owner out of more than two and a half million dollars dodges a jail sentence.

Cody Eckels was sentenced to five years probation.

Eckels plead guilty to mail fraud charges for his part in stealing the money from The Hose Connection.

Eckels will spend the first year under house arrest and will only be allowed to leave for work.

He also has to pay back almost half a million dollars.

The other men involved, Fred Foster, Gary Gardenhire and Jarrod Gardenhire will be sentenced at a later date.
