Officials Searching for Armed Robber in Hobbs

HOBBS, N.M. - An armed robber is on the loose in Hobbs.

Lea County authorities are on the hunt for two people accused of robbing a man at gunpoint at his own home.

The robbery happened Saturday morning just after 7:30 on Maple Street.

Deputies say a man and woman came inside the unlocked house, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the victim and demanded money and guns.

They ordered him to the ground and took off.

Right now, Lea County authorities are looking for a white male about 5'7" and a white female about 5'8", wearing what appeared to be pajama pants.

Both wore dark clothing with bandanas covering their faces.
