GREENWOOD - An oilfield worker in Greenwood is lucky to be alive after a 4-ton piece of machinery fell on him.
Around 5:30 Saturday evening, a worker cutting a trench to lay pipe lost hydraulic power.
He had been digging a 20 foot ditch and when the machine failed, they both tumbled down.
Midland fire officials tell NewsWest 9, this was a very large piece of equipment and he's incredibly lucky to be alive.
He was transported to Midland Memorial Hospital with cuts, bruises and possible internal injuries.
