Third Victim Dies from Injuries Sustained in Weekend Accident

New details on the deadly accident that occurred in Gardendale on Saturday afternoon.

The third victim died at Medical Center Hospital on Sunday.

The wreck happened on Highway 385 about six miles north of Odessa just after noon, killing a total of three people.

DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, an SUV traveling west on Cottonwood didn't stop at the stop sign and slammed into a tractor trailer going north on Highway 385.

The driver of the SUV, 18-year-old Luke Anthony Brown, Junior, died at the scene.

His passenger, 17-year-old Robert Earl Walker, III, died later at Medical Center Hospital.

The other passenger, 18-year-old Joshua William Herrell passed away from critical head injuries on Sunday.

Both of those passengers were not wearing seat belts.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
