Midland Man Pleads Guilty to Hauling Marijuana Across the Border

A Midland man has plead guilty to hauling more than 800 pounds of pot across the border.

34-year-old Jorge Morales admitted his crime in federal court.

He was caught at the Marfa checkpoint back in September.

Investigators say Morales had 845 pounds of marijuana stuffed in an auxiliary gas tank.

The drugs are worth more than $400,000.

No word yet on when he'll be sentenced.
