MIDLAND COUNTY - West Texas winds fueled a morning grassfire in Midland County.
The grassfire gave firefighters quite a bit of trouble along FM 1788, about seven miles south of Interstate 20.
The flames sparked up around 11:00a.m.
The wind helped spread the flames quickly through the dry grass and brush.
It took firefighters a while to knock it out and to make sure the hot spots didn't flare back up.
No word on what caused it or how many acres were scorched.
