UTPB's first-ever and only social fraternity is making its presence known for the better of the community and one of their own.
Kappa Delta Rho partnered with Habitat for Humanity over the weekend to help build houses along Dakota Street.
This is their third semester in existence.
They started out with only a little over 10 brothers but have grown quickly in a short time and are anticipating dozens of new recruits in the coming semester.
They had been working on the new houses for several weeks now, even aiding to construct one home that would house one of their own's displaced family members.
"It gives me a lot of pride that my brothers are willing to put their time and effort in to help a philanthropy that actually helps out me individually and my family at the same time," Philanthropy Coordinator, Lewis Busbee, said.
The brothers told NewsWest 9, they are proud to lend a helping hand to their community.
