ECTOR COUNTY - Almost two months after he was shot in a stand-off in West Odessa, an Ector County deputy is back on the job.

According to the Sheriff's Office, 34-year-old Sergeant Steve McNeil returned to work this week.

McNeil was shot in the head during the 22 hour stand-off with Victor White.

He was treated and released but has been recovering at home for the past several weeks.

McNeil says he is happy to be back at work and thanks everyone for their concern.

The return of Deputy Ricky Tijerina is still a little ways off.

Tijerina was shot three times during that stand-off.

The 29-year old is continuing his recovery at home.
