HOWARD COUNTY - Strong winds helped fuel a grass fire in Howard County on Thursday afternoon.

The fire is 100 percent contained but it's still smoldering and pretty smokey out there.

It took about four hours for Howard County volunteers and big spring firefighters to put it out.

The fire was started by a pumper truck that dropped it's drive shaft and punctured it's diesel tanks.

The metal dragging behind the truck sparked the flames.

About 150 acres were charred.
