Coming up this Tuesday, West Texans will have plenty of issues on the ballot for their votes.
One of the big issues on this year's ballot will be big bucks possibly coming to Odessa College.
A $68.5 million bond to be exact. Odessa College Trustees agreed on the bond election in August. The money will go toward the creation of five new structures across campus, as well as repairs on others.
Another issue on the ballot will be whether or not alcohol can be sold in Andrews County.
Andrews is currently dry.
Another issue, this time in Midland County, is the creation of a freshwater district.
In order to buy water as opposed to using ground wells, a project is being worked on to pump water from Fort Stockton to Midland. But in order for that to happen, a freshwater district needs to be created in Midland County.
Voters in Reeves County will decide whether or not to have a hotel-motel tax to pay for improvements to the civic center and rodeo arena.
And county commissioners in Martin County are asking to purchase a private golf course to keep it from closing.
Election Day is this Tuesday.
NewsWest9 and NewsWest9.com will have full coverage of all races across the Basin on Tuesday night.
