Odessa Tea Party Holds Political Forum

MIDLAND - With just a few days left to go, political races are heating up here in the basin. Saturday, several political candidates converged on the Commemorative Air Force Museum hoping to rally West Texans to get ready to head to the polls.

Election day is just a little more than a week away and political issues facing West Texans are being pushed to the forefront.

At the Commemorative Air Force Museum hangar, it was time to get in the voting spirit. The Odessa Tea Party hosted a West Texas voter's rally.

Amidst the old war planes of yesteryear candidates running for any office and for any party were invited to speak to the dozens who attended.

Candidates on hand included Kathie Glass, who is running for governor. All the candidates talked about why West Texans should cast a vote for them and encouraged the crowd to hit the polls.

Election day is Tuesday, November 2nd.

     According to police, a black Ford F-150, being operated by Marcelo Olivas, 17, was traveling on private property when a 20-month-old boy ran out in front of the F-150 and was struck by it.
