MIDLAND - A Midland man has been arrested in connection with a deadly accident.

22-year-old Rashad Roy Bell, also known as "Scooter", was arrested around 9:30 Friday morning in the 300 block of Rocky Lane.

Bell was arrested in connection to the death of Ronnie Lee Randolph. Bell has been charged with murder.

Police say he was involved in a robbery of a motel and then a subsequent crash that killed Randolph while he was in a street sweeper in the early morning hours of October 14.

Toni Lara Lopez, 33, is still a person of interest in regards to the murder investigation. Toni is also the main suspect in a stolen vehicle case reported to the Midland County Sheriff's Department. The suburban, Toni has been accused of taking without the owner's permission, is the same vehicle, which struck the parking lot sweeper.

The collision at Illinois and Powell severely injured 53 year-old Donald Clark and killed 34 year-old Ronnie Lee Randolph.
Bell's bond has been pre-set at $100,000 and is being charged with murder. Additional charges are also pending against Bell.
