Man Beaten with Fence Post and Beer Bottles in Midland

MIDLAND - Police are still looking for a suspect after a man was beaten with a metal fence post and beer bottles.
Police were called to the intersection of Gulf and Midland Drive around 8:10 Tuesday night. There they found two men had assaulted 44-year-old Manuel Fanco with a metal post and beer bottles. Franco had to be treated at the hospital for a head wound.
A good samaritan driving by saw the attack on Franco and stopped to aid Franco, until police arrived on scene.
When police arrived both suspects fled in two different directions. Officers were able to capture one of the suspects, 34-year-old Manuel Robles, in the 4200 block of Gulf Street.
Manuel Robles was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Evading arrest, and an outstanding arrest warrant for a previous Evading charge.
The other suspect is still at large, however police have him identified and arrest warrants will be obtained.
