BIG SPRING - If you live in Big Spring, get ready to pay a little more for water.
The city voted on increasing the rate on Tuesday night.
What it boils down to is you'll be paying 10 cents more for every 1,000 gallons you use a month.
Council members say they tried to avoid it but there's no way they could absorb the cost.
They're passing down the price hike that was passed on to city by the Colorado River Municipal Water District.
On Tuesday night, the city approved selling some land to developers who want to build a water reclamation plant.
That plant will recycle used water.
We're told they should start building it sometime next year.
