Man Arrested After Early Morning Stabbing in Midland

MIDLAND - An early morning stabbing at a Midland bar lands one man in intensive care and another man behind bars.

It happened at Fast Freddy's on west Illinois a little before 2:00a.m. Tuesday morning.

According to witnesses, 31-year-old Christopher Ellis and 25-year-old Victor Nava got into a fight over a girl.

Police tell NewsWest 9, Ellis stabbed Nava once in the chest and three times in the back before running off.
Nava was taken to Midland Memorial and is in critical but stable condition.

Police caught up to Ellis at his apartment complex.

He's been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
