It's a waiting game in Reeves County.
County Judge Sam Contreras, along with County Commissioners Gabriel Martinez and Ramiro Guerra had to appear in court on Monday morning after county residents filed a petition last week asking for an injunction.
The three men are accused of illegally passing amendments to the budget.
Those amendments would've tacked on an additional $800,000.
Commissioners later voted to rescind the action.
Instead, they'll take about $35,000 from other departments.
The plaintiff's attorney's asked to postpone the hearing until they have time to go over the court documents.
A new date for the hearing hasn't been set.
