ODESSA - Election Day is still three weeks away but the push is on to get voters to approve Odessa College's school bond.

Signs can be seen along several roads in and around Odessa.

They're asking people to vote yes for the 68.5 million dollar bond for the College.

The money would be used for new training facilities and transfer programs.

The signs are funded by the organization "Friends of Odessa College".

"That's what the friends of Odessa College was formed for, the pack is able to raise money and spend money promoting the actual bond issue that we want people to vote yes on that election," Renee Earls with the Friends of Odessa College, said.

Programs that would benefit from the bond include the Nursing and Health Department and the Firefighter Training Center.
