ODESSA - A tip landed a Permian High School student behind bars this week after district police say they caught him with cocaine.
17-year-old Sergio Cervantes was arrested on the Permian campus on Tuesday.
According to ECISD officials, police were investigating the tip when they found Cervantes had some coke on him.
He was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone.
Cervantes was released after putting up a $25,000 bond.
