PECOS - One West Texas city, responsible for making sure their entire county has an ambulance service, met on Wednesday night to figure out how to make it work.
Balmorhea's EMS will shut down at the end of the year, due to a lack of volunteers.
So the City of Pecos is now working with hospital and county officials to find a solution.
On Wednesday night, they met at City Hall to brainstorm.
The EMS Director tells NewsWest 9, Odessa College is stepping in to help out.
Because training is so expensive, they're offering to teach any volunteers who want to become emergency management technicians.
City officials say their task force will meet again in two weeks.
