BIG SPRING - It's one of the most popular reality shows on television, NBC's The Biggest Loser. On Monday Ali Vincent, the winner of season five, was in Big Spring to share her story. She was the guest speaker at Howard College where she wanted to share her success story and motivate others.
"I was tired of being unhappy so when I heard of the opportunity of The Biggest Loser, I thought maybe this is an opportunity for me," Vincent said.
From there it's all history, the casting call, working and sweating through the entire season and over 112 pounds later she was crowned the Biggest Loser.
"Slowly after I started, I knew for sure that not only was I part of The Biggest Loser but I became the first female Loser and for me it was a huge thing," Vincent said.
Even though they cant bring The Biggest Loser to Big Spring they decided to bring in Vincent and who better to help residents get motivated.
"It's a motivational spirit based thing, create the life you want and get on after it," Kim Howell from the Healthy Woman in Big Spring, said.
Ali says she knows how hard it is to lose weight but is living proof that it can be done.
"The biggest part of losing weight is you need to be mindful of your choices you make. I started one minute at a time, one choice at a time," Vincent said.
