Labor Day is prime car shopping season.
"We're doing great today, right now have 15 units sold," Eric Louvin with Lithia Toyota of Odessa, said. "As you can see from the parking lot, we have several customers that we're writing up deals on right now and putting them together."
It's the time of year when car dealerships roll out big savings for shoppers. Louvin said it's so they can clean out the old and bring in the new.
"They've been coming in already," Louvin said. "We do have some 2011 (models) on the ground. As the year progresses and gets closer to the end of December, we get rid of inventory to make room for the newer model lines."
Savvy shoppers Raul and Yesenia Rojas waited to buy their new Scion.
"About a month ago, we came out and we started to look at it," Raul Rojas said. "But we've been noticing a lot of stories on the Internet that is the best weekend to buy because these are the best deals. So we decided to wait until Labor Day to buy the car."
The wait wasn't easy.
"Yeah," Rojas said. "We were kind of anxious to get it."
But they stuck it out and were able to save thousands on their new car.
Louvin said incentives like employee rates and other discounts brought all types of people out.
"We've had couples today, single people and teachers," Louvin said. "Everybody and anybody."
