MIDLAND COUNTY - A little fence work sparked up a big grassfire in Midland County on Friday afternoon.
It happened off of County Road 190.
Fire investigators tell NewsWest 9, some guys were fixing a fence with a welding torch when the sparks ignited the flames.
We're told possibly more than 70 acres were scorched.
Fire crews had to use bulldozers along with their fire trucks to get the flames out.
No buildings or structures were burned, and no one was hurt.
The man doing the welding was given a ticket for starting the blaze.
