Murder Suspect Arrested in Odessa

ODESSA - A North Texas murder suspect's run from the law has ended at an Odessa bus station.

US Marshals, along with the West Texas Fugitive Task Force, arrested 21-year-old Dante Harris at the Greyhound terminal in Odessa Monday.

That's one day after authorities say he shot and killed an unarmed man in a Fort Worth apartment complex. Harris hopped a bus to Lordsburg, New Mexico Monday morning.

Marshals were tipped off he was on the bus, but the bus had already gone through Abilene so they set up to nab him in Odessa and were waiting when he got there.

Harris was the first one off the bus and was arrested without any problems. He was sent back to Fort Worth Monday night to face the murder charge.
