OPD, Ector County Sheriffs Receive Grant to Fight Crime

More money to fight crime in Odessa and Ector County.

Odessa Police and the Ector County Sheriff's Office are getting more than $67,000 from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Program.

The money will go for training for police and equipment like tasers and night vision goggles.

Deputies will use the cash to pay overtime for weekend and holiday patrols.
