Accident Causes Power Outage in Midland

MIDLAND - It only took about two hours for crews to restore power to over 2,000 customers after an accident on Friday afternoon.

The accident happened around 4:00p.m.

Police say the driver of a black truck hit a white truck and knocked it into a power pole, which took out the power.

The collision also sent another car into someone's yard.

The 26 year-old driver of the black truck was taken to the hospital.

For now, Police tell NewsWest 9, they are investigating it as a medical problem.

No other injuries were reported.

ONCOR says the power was restored around 6:30p.m. Friday night.
