West Texas Man Pleads Guilty to Stealing From Basin Organization

A West Texas man pleaded guilty on Thursday to stealing from a basin organization that works with children.

54-year-old Michael Woodson Burney is the Former Director of the West Texas Council of Campfire USA.

He admitted to one count of bank fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.

It was part of a scheme to steal more than $390,000 from the organization.

Burney faces up to 30 years in prison and a one million dollar fine.

So far, a sentencing date hasn't been set.
