BIG SPRING - A Big Spring man is free after facing injury to a child charges.

The case stems from an incident back in April of 2009 when a two-month-old infant died from a head injury.

The father, 23-year-old Jessie Collins, was on trial for his son's death.

He claimed the baby died after he accidentally dropped him.

Autopsy results showed the child died of blunt force trauma to the head and that it was suspicious.
