BIG SPRING - They fought for our country and on Tuesday night, veterans from all over Big Spring and Howard County were acknowledged and honored for their service.

For the last five years, every month, Hangar 25 Air Museum has been acknowledging men and women in the community who fought for our freedom and they decided pay their respects all over again. Every month, a veteran is chosen to be Veteran of the Month and they're celebrated with a ceremony.

Tuesday marks the five year anniversary of the program and the museum decided to bring them all back together. When a veteran is honored, they share their stories with the community and those stories are preserved on tape for future generations.

"It was very humbling for me to be honored," WWII Veteran, Orville Spradling, said.

"A lot of the veterans don't think they are deserving of any recognition," Hangar 25 administrator, Joe Hays, said.

Hangar 25 Air Museum knows the community has many great veterans and they hope to continue with this great program for many years to come.
