CRANE - A routine traffic stop in Crane turns up over a hundred thousand dollars worth of cocaine.
Police arrested 48-year-old Juan Gualbert on Monday after pulling him over.
Officers pulled over the Corpus Christi man on south Gaston around 2:30.
The officer called in a K-9 unit from Odessa to do a check of the car.
After getting permission to the search the car, officers say the drug dog found five pounds of cocaine in a hidden compartment in the trunk behind the back seat.
We're told the street value for the coke is about $120,000.
Gualbert was turned over to federal authorities and federal charges are pending.
