Two Odessa men are looking at some serious time in the federal pen after confessing to stealing copper wire from local drilling rigs.
36-year-old Aaron Brant and 21-year-old Brantten Rhodes made those confessions in federal court on Friday morning.
Brant admitted to stealing the wire back in November of last year.
Rhodes confessed to taking the wire from two different rigs in November and December.
Both did more than $5,000 in damage to each of the rigs.
They each face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine when they are sentenced in October.
